The Waiting Song
This is a love song about a man who is in love with a woman who has lived a sheltered life and is afraid to leave her past behind. The man speaks lovingly to her hoping to convince her to leave her past and stay with him for a future together. He finally tells her that he’s waited as long as he can because his train is leaving in the morning. She must decide what to do; whether to stay with her past alone or to leave her past behind and go with him where they can live together. He implores her to go with him. It’s implied she can’t leave. Her past has chained her still as the man asks, “How long must I go on living without you?”

I must have played this song 20 times. I loved it.
Nice chorus. The backing vocal harmonies are nice. I dig the retro flavor and sound and I like the melody too, good movement and song structure.
