The Essence Of Love

This is a song that has a personal memory from my past.  I spent some time homeless and I remember walking down a road at night with no where to go, no one to be with and feeling hopeless.  I started praying and asking God where were the good people because I’d lived and survived through so much abuse.  What I realized and expressed in the song,  was that no matter how bad or alone I struggled He was always there.  Sometimes I could feel and sense His presence.  Sometimes He would speak to me and His words were always comforting.  This song is a testament of His love for me and all of us no matter our circumstances.  I had to accept that by giving us free will meant it allowed people to choose to be kind or to choose to be cruel.  It’s similar to our country which allows people to have free speech, which some abuse the freedom by spewing hate or abusive language at others while clinging to their justification of being allowed free speech.  But having free speech doesn’t eliminate decency.  Choices have consequences….both good or bad.

The photo was taken by my wife while on a holiday.  The image was not created by AI or photoshopped in any way.  I didn’t notice the beam of light until I had looked at the photo days later.  This small beam of light shining down on me from above blew me away.  I felt like it was God telling me He was watching me and reminding me I was and am never alone.  I hope this song speaks to you as it does to me.

(Either that or I was being watched by the government or being tracked by aliens who wanted to abduct me for their experiments.)
