Forever Friends

This was originally an instrumental song given to me by a guitarist friend of mine named Mike Borgos.  I revamped it a lot but I hope it still has a similar vibe.

This song is about a husband and wife who, after years of being together, finally come to grips with the reality they want different things out of the rest of their lives.  Their lives together had been filled with happiness and sadness, arguments and laughter but as they grew older the fight to keep it going just didn’t seem worth it anymore.  But the husband sits now alone in his empty home with his memories and for him at least, they will always be friends as he offers a toast to his ex-wife, but still his friend.  Its a sad testament to the outrageous number of couples who end their lives together after so many years.  Sometimes its for the best and sometimes its not, but its a sad moment in each of their lives. regardless.
