Echoes of love

This is a song about a man who is reflecting on the loss of his lover or wife.  He remembers the times they had together and the happiness they had.  He states how her gentle grace helped to shape the man he is today.  It also can be a reflection of two lovers who are separated by oceans who are helpless to reunite again.  How circumstances can make them feel like hostages unable to leave their unwanted prison of sorts.
