He Was Ours For A Day

This is a song about a husband and wife who went through a tragic miscarriage and lost their son.  The husband tells the story of how he saw his wife on the floor in a pool of blood.  He fell to his knees and tried to comfort his wife.  The EMT’s came and rushed her to the hospital as he followed in his car.  The doctor told him she hemorrhaged and that’s why they lost the baby.  The nurse advises him not to look at his dead son but rather just remember him.  The husband expresses his sadness and the pain of losing their son but decides to focus on the promise of heaven and being reunited with him.  This song is dedicated to all the couples who have had to go through a miscarriage and death of their child.  It’s a devastating experience and my heart goes out to all of you who have been through it.  I hope the positive message in my song can bring you some hope and relief, because I believe we will see our children who were taken from us tragically.  This song is a true story.
