Lost Love

This is a song about a man who has just gone through his wife or girlfriend leaving or divorcing him.  He feels devastated because he still loves her deeply and expresses the difficulty it bears on his heart.  He thinks about her often and states he misses the way she would look at him with love and admiration.  He states love that is lost is the hardest thing to deal with, it constantly eats at you, leaving you with a hole in your heart.  But he finally embraces the inevitable, still holding on to loving memories but accepting that she’s gone but he’ll find someone to love again.
