Abandoned Baby Boy

This song is about my parents who gave me away to complete strangers when I was six months old.  It also covers the pain and suffering I went through as a child caused by an unhappy and frustrated women who was my foster mother.  She, like others I’ve met over the years, love babies who are solely dependent on them for their every need but once they start to have a mind of their own, the romance is over.  She would say some of the most horrible things to me and beat me with sticks, broom handles, or whatever she could grab to instill pain.  I hated her and I hated living there.  I was 16 when my birth mother came to my school to take me back with her to California.  Needless to say, I was more than ready to leave.  I thought it would be the family I had always hoped for….but it wasn’t.
